Ingredients:
- 1 cup almonds (soaked overnight, peeled)
- 2 cups milk (or almond milk for dairy-free)
- 1 cup vegetable or chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil
- 1 small onion (finely chopped)
- 1 garlic clove (minced)
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg or cinnamon (optional for flavor)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Garnish: sliced almonds or fresh cream
Steps:
Prepare Almonds: Soak almonds overnight or in hot water for 30 minutes. Peel the skin and grind them into a smooth paste using a little water.
Sauté Base: Heat butter or oil in a pot. Add onion and garlic, and sauté until soft and translucent.
Combine Ingredients: Add the almond paste to the pot and stir for 2-3 minutes. Pour in the broth and bring to a gentle boil.
